Tournament Game Highlights :
Oct. 12th -VS- Calvary Nazarene
Incredible game! "The
best game we ever played" (Scott). We scored
early and often to build up a sizeable lead, helped by Jason's HR. Jeffery
took a shot to the face on a bad hop, and Karl hurt his leg on a great defensive
stretch. The rest of the team hit the ball well and our defense was
superb. Kevin doubled the guy off 3rd from catching a line drive.
Nazarene gave us a few runs on some shoddy defense, but our lead was big enough
to hold on when they decided to get their bats going in the bottom of the sixth.
However their 10 runs weren't enough as we held on to win 19-15. (submitted by

Oct. 12th -VS- Calvary Legends
Another incredible game! "The best game we ever played and lost" (Jeffery). Keeping it close with a team against which we are overmatched was accomplished by stellar defense like the double steal double play by Steve & Kendall on 2nd back to home. Offense was tops, helped by Scott's second homer that bounced off the top of the fence. The score was 7-6 after 6 long innings, and we could have taken the game if we had won the coin toss, or stretched out the 6th over the time limit. However, it was not to be, as Legends' HR in the bottom of the 7th on this cold, rainy, wet night finished off the season with us in 2nd place for the 3rd time in the last 4 seasons. With this kind of winning record, Jeffery was unanimously re-elected as coach for 2010.
